"I think it's almost unheard of for someone to receive the Purple Heart but not have their injuries deemed combat-related," Shawn Manning, who was seriously injured in the 2009 attack when he was shot SIX TIMES, told Fox News. "I know that was not what Congress intended to have happen, but it is what currently the Army has determined is going to happen."

According to a report by Fox News' Catherine Herridge, Manning submitted his paperwork for benefits for consideration – something the Army says the victims must do! – only to be DENIED.

"Section 571 of the 2015 National Defense Authorization Act addresses both the awarding of the Purple Heart to service members killed or wounded in attacks inspired or motivated by foreign terrorist organizations and the Defense of Freedom Medal for those members and civilians killed or wounded during the Fort Hood attack on 5 November 20009," states the rejection letter sent to Manning.

"Nowhere in the act, however, does it offer combat benefits for service members permanently disabled in attacks inspired or motivated by foreign terrorist organizations. Although subsequent legislation and guidance may change, currently, the Board has no authority to award V1/V3 (service related) designation to soldiers disabled during the Fort Hood attack."

According to that same Herridge report:

Those who were wounded BY ISLAMIC TERRORIST HASAN that November day still face serious medical issues. Staff Sgt. Shawn Manning has two bullets in him. Staff Sgt. Alonzo Lunsford lost an eye. Kimberly Munley, the civilian Defense Department police officer who was the first person to return fire on the terrorist Nidal Hasan can no longer work in law enforcement because of her physical injuries. She and others are suffering from anxiety and post-traumatic stress.

One survivor, Staff Sgt. Josh Berry, committed suicide on February 13, 2013.

We know all too well the "fundamental transformation" Obama is bringing to our nation's military… and this administration, which persistently has deemed the attack as "workplace violence" spitefully wants the Purple Heart designation to remain purely symbolic! Obama INSISTS the Islamic CAUSE AND PURPOSE of Hasan's mayhem be kept as low profile as possible – and the increasingly P.C. Army bureaucracy which punishes our Christian clergy, and can afford gay pride celebrations and its own traveling boy band, is only too happy to NOT ROCK OBAMA'S BOAT.

Obama's pen and phone for these brave Americans is curiously absent and only Congress re-introducing Texas Republican Rep. "Judge" John Carter's H.R. 705, the Fort Hood Victims and Families Benefit Protection Act, and PUTTING IT VETO-PROOF ON OBAMA'S DESK will ensure our Fort Hood heroes receive the benefits they EARNED as the shooter shouted the Islamic jihad war cry "Allahu Akbar" or "God is great" AS HE OPENED FIRE ON THEM!

These men and women and their families cannot wait for Obama to make it right… because that day will never come! And the Army brass under his command are becoming a disgrace in their willing complicity.

Among President Bill Clinton's first acts taking office in 1993 was to disarm U.S. soldiers on military bases. In March 1993, the Army imposed regulations forbidding military personnel from carrying their personal firearms and making it almost impossible for commanders to issue firearms to soldiers in the U.S. for personal protection. For the most part, only military police regularly carry firearms on base, and their presence is stretched thin by high demand for MPs in war zones.

Thanks to Clinton and idiotic Democrat gun control orthodoxy, our military bases are now effectually "gun-free zones" and magnets for rampage killers. Terrorists and lunatics would face more return fire attacking most liquor stores than either gunman faced at Fort Hood, home of the heavily armed and feared 1st Cavalry Division. John Galligan, attorney for Army psychiatrist-turned-terrorist Nidal Hasan, PREDICTED it was unlikely that Hasan's victims will receive any compensation for their suffering during the 2009 Fort Hood shooting rampage.

In this pre-meditated terrorist attack, 13 individuals and one pre-born baby were MURDERED in the name of Allah. Obama and his administration still insist that this terrorist act was "workplace violence" rather than an Islamic terrorist attack!

Only Congress can act to RIGHT THIS WRONG by re-introducing and veto-proofing H.R. 705 and by making sure our soldiers are not left DEFENSELESS on American soil against future terrorists!

Fort Hood TERRORIST Nidal Hasan was quickly found guilty on 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder after his "jihad against U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan."

And TODAY Hasan is awaiting execution, after a unanimous sentence of death from the military panel trying his case.

But while it didn't take this jury more than a month to SEE THE OBVIOUS, the Obama administration STILL REFUSES to acknowledge the truth – that Nidal Hasan's 2009 mass shooting was NOT "workplace violence" but an act of Islamist terrorism right here on American soil, and these soldiers HAVE EARNED combat benefits.

Yet wasn't CONCERN over compromising Hasan's trial the BIG EXCUSE for not calling the TERRORIST ATTACK "TERRORISM"?
